What is Reiki?

Reiki or “Universal life force” is a hands-on form of energy healing that heals the body on a deeper level and tackles the source of all symptoms. Reiki is more of a Holistic approach. It can assist in removing stress, depression/anxiety, physical aches and pains, and helps the receiver release any stagnant emotions or energies from the past (including past lives). We are all channels for reiki, but as we go through life and its experiences, this flow of energy becomes disrupted. We unconsciously store our emotions and traumas in our bodies when we are not processing our emotions correctly. Reiki helps restore and balance the flow of energy or “Chi” that keeps us alive and healthy.

Distance Reiki

Distance Reiki follows the same guidelines as an in-person session. The only difference is there is space between the practitioner and the client. A distance session is as effective as an in-person session due to Reiki transcending across space and time. It is best to relax during your session. You can meditate if you would like or take a nap. Do what feels best for you. Keep in mind any experiences during your session do not equate to the effectiveness of Reiki. Try to enter your session with an open mind and allow Reiki to flow through you.

Before Your Session

You will receive a zoom link and passcode via email shortly after ​scheduling for a Reiki session. This call will take place 15-mintues before your session starts to review your intake form. The intake form helps monitor where you are now and to inform me of any health concerns. We will measure your growth through these forms once you return for another session. Feel free to review on your own time to see if you are improving in any areas.

During Your Session

During the session, you may experience heat, cold, visions, glimpses of past lives, stomach rumbles or growls, itchiness, twitching, pushing and pulling sensations, tiredness, or you may not experience anything at all. Sessions can last up to an hour. Please be sure to set aside time to receive your complete session and remove any jewelry, shoes, and tight clothing. Remember, just as you are a unique individual, your reiki experience will be unique as well.

 

 

After your Session

Once your session is complete, I will inform you via email and answer any questions you may have. Please take a moment to gather yourself once the session is over. You may find that taking a few sips of cold water will assist you in grounding. I am open to hearing about your experience with Reiki and how it made a difference in your everyday life.

How often should I receive treatment?
As often as you would like! The more Reiki your body takes the more inner peace/balance you may feel. For critical health, I would recommend every 1 to 2 weeks. 
 
How long does Reiki last?
After you begin to feel the effects, Reiki can last from days to weeks. The more consistent you are with receiving Reiki, the longer it will last each time. Everyone's body is different.
